“I am very much a people person and was delighted to find that teaching online does not stifle the interaction and emotional support that I enjoy through teaching!” 

Sharon has years of experience teaching iGCSE at an international college as well as supporting small groups of children academically and emotionally during their studies. Even so, she found it difficult at first to adapt to online teaching.  

“Writing equations is a challenge without a pen and whiteboard!” she admits. “At the start I had to remind myself that it is good to keep learning new things, and that patience is a virtue!” Now Sharon has happily adapted, and appreciates the huge benefits of learning online, especially the time it releases for other things. 

Sharon has a big family including dogs, children and grandchildren, so life is always busy.  

“Being outside makes me happy: I enjoy hiking and cycling, travelling to new places and meeting new people,” she smiles. “I love chatting with friends, dancing and of course getting to know the students I teach!”
