Sam began her teaching career in primary schools in the UK. During a teaching placement at university, she developed an interest in working with students with dyslexia and specific learning difficulties and decided to pursue a career in specialist tuition upon completing her training with Dyslexia Action.
After moving to Germany, Sam transitioned to working mostly online. Sam loves working in the online environment even more than working face-to-face. In particular, Sam values the tools that online learning offers students with learning difficulties, helping them learn and thrive. Online learning also allows a deeply personal learning experience, enabling easy collaboration on learning projects and sessions built around students’ interests.
Sam says, “In the world we live in, it is so useful for students to be digitally literate and be able to work online safely and confidently.”
In her free time, Sam enjoys reading and going to the theatre. She also has two small children with whom she loves having adventures and exploring beyond the online classroom.
