Galina has been a teacher for many years working in three countries since first qualifying as a
teacher of Foreign Languages. During her career, as well as teaching, Galina has also been a school inspector and a professional Interpreter for a major company. Galina’s first degree is from University in Russia and she also gained a postgraduate MA from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
Galina is constantly inspired by the achievements of her students and finds seeing a spark in
their eyes, incredibly rewarding. One of her key ambitions is sharing her passion for foreign languages with her students, encouraging their interest in the subject.
Galina started teaching online due to its accessibility, flexibility and convenience as it is available
and open for teaching children regardless of geography, social and health status. Galina loves that at Wendover, children can choose the pace of learning for themselves. The less formal communication experienced in online lessons makes children feel more comfortable and experience less stress while learning.
When not teaching, Galina enjoys watching classical ballet, reading Russian literature, walking in
the country, travelling and gardening.

How we use assessments to help students learn
At Wendover Online School, our small class sizes of up to six pupils means we can tailor our teaching to meet the needs of the individual students. In addition, we use a range of assessments across the school year to find out how we can support each student’s individual learning needs, and to measure progress so that we can focus our help.
