Wendover shares the success of online learning for primary children.
“Primary aged children thrive in Wendover’s rich and supportive online learning environment,” declares Principal Sarah Bacon, proudly. “We know that our online classes work brilliantly for these younger children, and are excited to announce the launch of our new Primary Prospectus. Take a look!”.
Rich and varied lessons stimulating for younger pupils
Our Primary pupils are offered a wide variety of learning opportunities at Wendover, including a mix of individual and group teaching methods, collaborations across age groups and the chance to share their individual hobbies with friends and classmates.
Sarah is thrilled that Wendover manages to combine sit-down learning with a variety of more active sessions, all designed to build understanding and confidence.
“We’ve included some pictures in the new Prospectus showing you just what fun our Primary pupils have at school – who would believe online pupils can be such active learners?”
Small class sizes and individualised learning
Children at Key Stage Two in the British Curriculum (ages 7 – 11) are lively and inquisitive, so benefit enormously from the small class sizes offered by Wendover’s online education programme.
Our friendly, professional teachers are experts in online teaching. In small classes they can spot immediately if a pupil is becoming disengaged or tired, and find a way to refresh their attention. Teachers know their pupils well, so it is easier to address any difficulties or build upon success: an ideal learning environment for young minds.
Nurturing a ‘growth’ mindset
Establishing this open approach to learning at an early age is part of our core ethos at Wendover. Our supportive environment makes it easier for children to try out new things and ask questions. As children absorb this ‘growth mindset’ from an early age they learn to accept that success is not always easy. Challenge becomes exciting, providing a positive springboard for growth and development that will last a lifetime.
Primary pupils adapt quickly to online schooling
As a pioneer of online education, Wendover is expert in providing both pastoral and educational support for our pupils across all age groups. Younger children are just as quick to pick up the necessary IT and attention skills to join our engaging online community, making friends and building good relationships with their teachers.
We provide consistent and open feedback to all our parents, so you will always know what your child is doing and when, understand their progress, and be able to contact us through a variety of methods to keep in touch.
